Joshua Hedley - Mr. Jukebox
Traditional country music has enjoyed a sorely-needed renaissance over the past several years, but Joshua Hedley has stood at the top of the mountain in that regard. His music harkens back to the era of Buck Owens and George Jones, due to the fact that these tunes could have been hits in 1965. The “Nashville Sound” is wall-to-wall perfection, and the opening numbers, “Counting All My Tears” and “Mr. Jukebox” is the best one-two punch the genre has had on an LP in ages. His respect for the legends of yesteryear, combined with his superlative multi-instrumentalism makes Joshua an artist for whom to keep an eye out.
